Columbia area spring sports Week 9 top performers: Clint Seymore hits two home runs in Loretto win
It's Week 9 of the high school spring season. Here are the top performers for high school baseball, softball and soccer in the Columbia area.
FRIDAY
Baseball
Clint Seymore, Loretto: Seymore went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and a stolen base in a 2-0 win over Summertown.
Carter Daniel, Loretto: Daniel pitched a no hitter, striking out 10 batters in six innings.
Lucas Laxson, Loretto: Laxson was 1-for-2 with a triple.
Maddox Rickvalsky, Summit: Rickvalsky was 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and run in a 10-5 win over Ravenwood.
Lucas Dawson, Summit: Dawson was 1-for-2 two runs, two RBIs and a stolen base.
Softball
Piper Johnson, Independence: Johnson was 1-for-2 with a double in a 12-0 loss to Summit.
Tarek Scherr, Summit: Scherr went 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs in a 12-0 win.
Audrey Cathey, Summit: Cathey was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI.
Anne Marie Richards, Summit: Richards went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.
THURSDAY
Baseball
Jack Beck, Columbia Central: Beck was 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, four RBIs and two additional runs in a 17-5 win over Spring Hill.
Matthew Thomas, Columbia Central: Thomas was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and an additional run.
Evan Wolaver, Columbia Central: Wolaver went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and two additional runs.
Peyton Gutierrez, Culleoka: Gutierrez was 2-for-4 with two doubles in a 2-1 loss.
Tommy Carroll, Culleoka: Carroll was 2-for-2 with a double, a run and two stolen bases,
Ethan Richardson, Culleoka: Richardson struck out 14 batters, while allowing six hits and one earned run in eight innings pitched.
Caleb King, Independence: King was 3-for-3 with a double, a run and two RBIs in a 5-1 win over Centennial.
Caleb Carpenter, Independence: Carpenter went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and a stolen base
Noah Taylor, Independence: Taylor pitched a complete game, striking out six while allowing four hits and one earned run.
Alex Bedford, Lawrence County: Bedford went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI in a 6-1 win.
Isaiah Bentley, Lawrence County: Bentley was 1-for-4 with a double, run and RBI.
Clint Seymore, Loretto: Seymore was 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, four RBIs and an additional run in a 21-0 win over Mt. Pleasant.
Carter Daniel, Loretto: Daniel went 3-for-4 with a double, four runs, four RBIs and two stolen bases.
Jayden Aaron, Loretto: Aaron was 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs, two runs and a stolen base.
Dillion Thompson, Loretto: Thompson struck out six batters in three innings pitched, allowing one hit and no runs.
Carter Edwards, Richland: Edwards was 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, four RBIs and an additional run in a 12-0 win over Santa Fe.
Bryce Miller, Richland: Miller threw a no-hitter, striking out eight batters in five innings. He was also 2-for-2 with a double, run and a stolen base.
Will Shirey, Richland: Shirey went 2-for-2 with a double, run, RBI and a stolen base.
Nolan Brister, Spring Hill: Brister was 2-for-2 with a double, run and two RBIs in a 17-5 loss to Columbia.
Will Chladny, Summit: Chladny struck out 12 batters in seven innings pitched, allowing four hits and no runs in a 1-0 loss to Nolensville.

Carolina Johnson, Columbia Academy: Johnson was 2-for-3 with a home run, RBI and an additional run in an 11-1 win.
Emmy McAdams, Columbia Academy: McAdams went 1-for-3 with a three-RBI home run.
Kinslee Wilhelm, Columbia Academy: Wilhelm was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.
Saviya Morgan, Columbia Central: Morgan went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and three runs in a 10-0 win.
Bailey Lovell, Columbia Central: Lovell was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. She also pitched five innings, striking out six batters and allowing one hit and no runs.
Ruthie Lindsey, Columbia Central: Lindsey was 2-for-4 with a run and four RBIs.
Aubry Ezell, Loretto: Ezell was 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, six RBIs and an additional run in a 10-1 win.
Cam Hanson, Loretto: Hanson went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.
Emily Cozart, Loretto: Cozart pitched a complete game, striking out eight batters while giving up six hits and one earned run.
Lilly Lancaster, Richland: Lancaster was 1-for-3 with a double and RBI in a 5-2 loss to Summertown.
Ashleia Coble, Zion Christian: Coble pitched a no-hitter, striking out 14 batters in seven innings in a 1-0 win.

Noah Beaman, Zion Christian: Scored a goal in a 2-2 draw with Loretto.

Konner Bowden, Columbia Central: Bowden went 1-for-3 with two runs and a stolen base.
George Wu, Independence: Wu pitched four innings, striking out five while allowing one hit and no runs in a 9-2 loss.
Alex Bedford, Lawrence County: Bedford was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, a run and a stolen base in a 7-4 win.
Isaiah Bentley, Lawrence County: Bentley went 1-for-4 with a triple, run and RBI.

Eli Stephens, Hampshire: Stephens pitched four innings, striking out eight batters while allowing one hit and one earned run. He was also 1-for-3 with a double, RBI and stolen base.
Casen Springer, Loretto: Springer was 4-for-4 with two home runs, five RBIs and two additional runs in an 11-0 win over Lawrence County.
Clint Seymore, Loretto: Seymore was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs.
Miles Moore, Loretto: Moore was 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.
