Colts’ Braden Smith got stitches after thumb injury in practice

Indianapolis Colts right tackle Braden Smith suffered a thumb injury during Thursday’s practice and had to get stitches, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

While Smith had to get stitches, he reportedly isn’t in danger of missing the game on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, though it wouldn’t be a surprise if he didn’t practice leading up to the game.

Smith popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a thumb injury to go along with four defensive linemen being listed as DNPs.

The Colts have had their entire offensive line active for the majority of the season. Smith has been enjoying a solid season in his third year and should he miss the game, it would be a big blow to the offense.

The injury designations come out on Friday so we may get more information on his status. Head coach Frank Reich is meeting with the media on Friday as well.
