College volleyball: Alex Tech controls Ridgewater, 3-0

Sep. 25—WILLMAR — The Ridgewater volleyball team couldn't climb past Alexandria Tech in a three-set loss on Monday night.

The Legends won the Minnesota College Athletic Conference match 25-17, 25-18, 25-19.

"Unfortunately, we allowed Alex Tech to run the tempo of the game tonight and we couldn't pull away," said Ridgewater head coach Amanda Bohlsen. "Our defense stayed tight on coverage but it just wasn't enough to shift the score in our favor. We are excited to review tape and get in the gym tomorrow before we head to SCTCC on Wednesday."

The Warriors have lost four straight matches. Their last win came on Sept. 23 against Western Tech.

Gabby Randt, a sophomore from Clara City, led Ridgewater with nine kills and two ace serves. She also had 13 digs.

Emma Kallio, a freshman from Waverly, dished out 19 set assists. Karli Jensen, a freshman from Kerkhoven, tallied 18 digs in the loss.

Ridgewater plays St. Cloud Technical and Community College at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Cloud's Whitney Recreation Center.
