Coco Gauff is the highest-ranked American tennis player and the reigning U.S. Open champion. If you stay up very late (or wake up very early), you can see her continue her push for her second Grand Slam title in the Australian Open.

Gauff, the No. 3 player in the WTA rankings, will face a familiar opponent in world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, the reigning Aussie Open champion. The Delray Beach native beat Sabalenka in three sets in September's U.S. Open final for her first Grand Slam title at just 19 years old.

The Florida teen had a tough time in her quarterfinal match, hitting 51 unforced errors and nine double-faults against Marta Kostyuk, who was playing in her first Grand Slam quarterfinal. But Gauff outlasted the Ukrainian for a 7-6 (6), 6-7 (3), 6-2 win that ended after midnight EST on Tuesday. It was her 12th straight victory in a Grand Slam match.

"Hopefully got the bad match out of the way and I can play even better” in the semifinals, Gauff said after the match.

She'll have to if she wants to take down Sabalenka again. The 25-year-old from Belarus has won all five of her Aussie Open matches in straight sets, with her most recent a 6-2, 6-3 win over No. 9 Barbara Krejcikova. Last year in Melbourne, she won all of her matches in straight sets until a three-set win in the final over Elena Rybakina to claim her first career Grand Slam title.
