'Classic Jaguars bad football': Jacksonville fans react on Twitter to latest loss
The Jacksonville Jaguars were this close to pulling out a miracle win against the New York Giants. But after Christian Kirk was tackled at the 1-yard line and the clock ran out on the Jags' 23-17 loss, it seemed a lot of the goodwill from the first month of the season had run out for fans.
The loss put the Jaguars at 2-5 on the season, losing four straight game after starting off 2-1. Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne have provided some flashes of strong play, but it hasn't been enough to overcome a litany of costly mistakes.
The Giants nearly let the Jags steal this one, though. With about 30 seconds to go, Lawrence connected with Marvin Jones on fourth-and-15, then got an extra boost from a roughing the passer penalty. That set up one last push for the game-tying touchdown that came a yard short.
The Jaguars were THAT CLOSE 😳

Doug Pederson now has to answer to #duuuval fans, who busted out the clown emoji again after another brutal loss.
Classic Jaguars bad football:
Costly redzone turnover ✅
Doug being way too aggressive on a 4th down (just kick and go up 7)✅
Trevor missing open throws for big plays✅
Caldwell not making a single adjustment as the game goes on✅
Wasting timeouts✅

Another week of the Jacksonville Jaguars finding ways to beat themselves. It’s truly astounding.

The Jaguars can’t beat nobody else because they’re too busy beating themselves.

I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the game. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This team has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye Jags. I am no longer a fan.

Jaguars have played 7 games.
They’ve led in the 4th quarter in 6.
They’ve scored more points this season than their opponents.

The loss wasn't even the worst part of some fans' day.
First the @Jaguars lose and icing on the cake the lady in front of us is writing a check at Wal Mart.

And Jaguars and Giants fans alike had some words for the referees about how the end of the game was called.
Jaguars deserved the L but the NFL needs to ditch this officiating crew. Unbelievably weird game.

Refs wanted @Jaguars to win that game SO BAD
