The Jacksonville Jaguars were this close to pulling out a miracle win against the New York Giants. But after Christian Kirk was tackled at the 1-yard line and the clock ran out on the Jags' 23-17 loss, it seemed a lot of the goodwill from the first month of the season had run out for fans.

The loss put the Jaguars at 2-5 on the season, losing four straight game after starting off 2-1. Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne have provided some flashes of strong play, but it hasn't been enough to overcome a litany of costly mistakes.

The Giants nearly let the Jags steal this one, though. With about 30 seconds to go, Lawrence connected with Marvin Jones on fourth-and-15, then got an extra boost from a roughing the passer penalty. That set up one last push for the game-tying touchdown that came a yard short.
