Cincinnati Bengals hire Marion Hobby as DL coach

The Cincinnati Bengals made another coaching staff hire under Zac Taylor on Saturday, announcing the arrival of Marion Hobby as defensive line coach.

Hobby, 54, arrives with six years of experience at the NFL level and will command the D.J. Reader-led unit in 2020.

“We are excited for Marion to join the Bengals,” Taylor said in a statement from the team. “He brings great experience and is a perfect fit with our staff and defensive line room. We look forward to welcoming him and his family to Cincinnati.”

Hobby has two decades of experience at the college level with programs like Tennessee and Clemson. After, he spent time with Jacksonville and Miami before coming to Cincinnati to replace Nick Eason.

This is the third noteworthy move for the coaching staff after the team re-hired Frank Pollack to replace Jim Turner as offensive line coach and Troy Walters was promoted to wideouts coach.
