Chubb Classic announces early commitments for next month's PGA Tour Champions event in Naples

Bernhard Langer, the winningest player in PGA Tour Champions history, will look to add to his legendary golf resume when he defends his title at next month’s Chubb Classic, set for Feb. 16-18 at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples.

Joining Langer among this year’s early commitments for the tournament will be fellow World Golf Hall-of-Famers Davis Love III, Colin Montgomerie and 2024 inductee Padraig Harrington.

From 2023: Bernhard Langer wins Chubb Classic to earn record-tying 45th PGA TOUR Champions win

The 66-year-old Langer captured his record fifth Chubb Classic title last year, a win that tied Hale Irwin for most career PGA Champions victories. Langer broke the deadlock at the U.S. Senior Open last July, earning his 46th Champions win.

Love, a 21-time PGA Tour winner, will make his Chubb Classic debut. The 59-year-old Love won the 1997 PGA Championship, his one major title, and was a two-time winner at the Players Championship (1992, 2003).

Harrington, the 2023 Chubb Classic runner-up and a six-time Champions winner, will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame this June. Among the 52-year-old Harrington’s 38 professional victories are four major championships: The Open (2007, 2008), the PGA Championship (2008) and the U.S. Senior Open (2022).

The 60-year-old Montgomerie, a seven-time Champions winner, has 54 professional wins during his Hall-of-Fame career.

These four will be among the 78 players competing in the 54-hole championship for a share of the $1.8 million purse. All three rounds will be shown live on the Golf Channel.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 Chubb Classic, including exclusive hospitality and general admission. All 2024 tournament tickets will be completely digital and will be emailed after purchase. E-tickets can be viewed on either a mobile device or printed out to be scanned at the main gate.

Now in its 37th year, the Chubb Classic is the longest-running Champions Tour event in the same metropolitan area, getting its start in Southwest Florida at The Club Pelican Bay in 1988 and has been at Tiburón since 2021.
