Chelsea player ratings vs Leicester: Raheem Sterling has a shocker but electric Nicolas Jackson shines again

Substitutes Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke put Chelsea into the semi-finals of the FA Cup by scoring late on in a 4-2 win against 10-man Leicester.

Chelsea looked like they would ease to victory after Marc Cucurella tapped in the opener before Cole Palmer made it 2-0 with a simple finish.

Raheem Sterling had also missed a first-half penalty before Axel Disasi’s freak own goal allowed Leicester back into the match.

Stephy Mavididi’s stunning equaliser put the Foxes back on level terms, but Callum Doyle was sent off for a last-man foul.

Chelsea won the match in injury time courtesy of two stunning goals from Chukwuemeka and Madueke.

Nizaar Kinsella was at Stamford Bridge to rate the Chelsea players.

Robert Sanchez - 4

Back in the team, he got away with losing the ball in his own box early in the first half. Was also poor at collecting crosses.

Malo Gusto - 6

Solid all game until he couldn’t stop Mavididi’s wonderful equaliser.

Axel Disasi - 4

Had done little wrong in the first half but his game will be remembered for a moment of madness. His 30-yard own goal let Leicester back into it.

Trevoh Chalobah - 6

A quiet but assured display at the heart of defence.

Marc Cucurella - 7

His lung-busting run saw him get a tap-in after good work by Jackson on the break. Also very good defensively.

Moises Caicedo - 6

A fine but unremarkable midfield display.

Conor Gallagher - 6

A decent display in an important audition for Gareth Southgate as a No6, a role which is up for grabs at the Euros this summer.

Cole Palmer - 8

Cooly slotted in the second goal after almost scoring a Gianfranco Zola-esque flick from a corner with the game's first shot. He also set up Chukwuemeka’s winner with a beautiful touch.

Mykhailo Mudryk - 6

A bright performance full of threatening passes and dangerous shots. The supporters were upset to see him come off.

Raheem Sterling - 4

Missed a 26th-minute penalty and a one-on-one chance, and shanked a free-kick miles over. Partially made amends with a wonderful assist for Palmer’s goal but was booed by Chelsea fans when he was taken off.

Nicolas Jackson - 8

His wonderful counter-attacking assist opened the scoring in an electric display up front. The Senegal international striker is coming good.
