Charlize Theron to host 20th annual Desert Smash at La Quinta Resort & Club
Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron will host the 20th annual Desert Smash, with an aim to raise money for charity on March 5 at La Quinta Resort & Club.
The event will include appearances by recording artist Natasha Bedingfield, Bush singer Gavin Rossdale and tennis players Casper Ruud, Nick Kyrgios, Victoria Azarenka and Stan Wawrinka, who will participate in a tennis exhibition for those in attendance.
The event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m.
Tickets range from standard courtside seating at $350 per person to on-court playing experiences and VIP on-court seating for $3,000.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) — a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to investing in the health and safety of young people living in Southern Africa.
