Chargers fire head coach Brandon Staley ahead of Bills matchup

The Buffalo Bills are prepping for the Dallas Cowboys matchup ahead of them in Week 15.

However, huge news has broken in regard to their ensuing matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chargers (5-9) kicked off the NFL’s Week 15 slate on Thursday Night Football against the Las Vegas Raiders. It went as bad as one could imagine, maybe even worse than that.

The Raiders took a 63-21 win over the Bolts. It was the most points ever allowed by a Chargers team and heads have rolled.

The Chargers announced on Friday that head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco, a Buffalo native, have been fired:

The final is embarrassing to say the least, making the decision in Los Angeles to clean house an obvious one. In a sense, the 63 points is actually indicative of a Raiders team that took their foot off the pedal, too. Las Vegas was up 42-0 at halftime.

Ouch.

In terms of the Bills (7-6), regardless of outcome against the Cowboys, their upcoming matchup with the Chargers will still be of importance because of their playoff push.

And sometimes when a team makes a change, there’s a thought that the locker room will get a “new coach boost.”

For the Bills, let’s hope not.
