Celtics Romeo Langford OUT vs. Mavs, Jaylen Brown upgraded to available

Those among us waiting for Boston Celtics second-year shooting guard Romeo Langford to finally make his debut with the team after an extended absence from the court will have to wait a little longer that the team’s home tilt with the Dallas Mavericks tonight.

The upside is that All-Star forward Jaylen Brown will be able to play after missing Monday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans with a left hip contusion. Per the team, Langford is officially out with “post health and safety protocol reconditioning” as the listed reason, the Indiana native likely not quite up to game shape after an extended rehabilitative process.

He will join big man Tristan Thompson (health and safety protocols) and forward Semi Ojeleye (left side strain) as scratches for the contest, but should return to action soon, albeit in shorter stints.
