Cardinals' Kyler Murray slammed for lack of accountability: 'You've got to grow up'
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been criticized for his height, his attitude, his contract, his play and what seems like a host of other things by NFL media members.
One sports media personality is now criticizing him for his lack of accountability.
Fox Sports' Jason McIntyre recently slammed the QB on The Herd with Colin Cowherd Show, taking issue with a quote from Murray that was recently published by the Cardinals' website.
The quote?
"I'm going to listen," Murray said. "I'm going to be coachable and I'm going to do it to the best of my ability, but if the (expletive) ain't working, at some point, we all have to look in the mirror … It's a team sport. We all have to be locked in."

The comment didn't sit well with McIntyre, who cited Murray's lucrative contract with the Cardinals and the importance of the QB position in the NFL.
"Listen, it all begins and ends with Kyler Murray," McIntyre said. "And he's on a sinking ship right now. … This is a franchise in flux and Kyler Murray has to step up and be accountable."
He continued: "You look at these Kyler Murray quotes and you start to wonder 'Man, this guy has been in the league five years, he got his big contract. Does Kyler Murray understand accountability?'"

McIntyre wasn't done.
"I don't want to say like, we all have to look in the mirror," he continued. "Yes, football's a team sport and the defense of Arizona is not good, it's going to be horrid this year. Special teams is not great either. They have the youngest coaching staff in the league. There's a lot of problems here, but this is about Kyler Murray and accountability and you know, historically accountability hasn't been a big thing for Kyler Murray.
"I want to remind you guys, Kyler Murray is a very pampered player, he's one of the most ballyhooed high school football players in Texas football history … I'm sure some people are saying, 'Listen, J-Mac, ease up on this kid! He was a college kid going to the NFL.' Guys, he kept looking to his dad for answers. I heard a story that Kyler Murray's mom was still doing his laundry in Arizona. This is while he's the quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals. Like, at some point you’ve got to grow up and show accountability."

Were McIntyre's comments about Murray fair? They drew mixed reactions on social media.
This seems totally fair, he takes accountability and says he needs to be better but then also puts pressure on the team which is fair. Seems like in your take and approach to this Kyler takes the L either way. He needs to be better so does the team what’s wrong here?

He’s right.. Kyler’s contact wasn’t a good idea at the time, but it’s going to look worse with every passing year

You owe me 4 minutes and 21 seconds of my life back after listening to such utter bollocks.

Kyler is a spoiled brat. Cardinals should have jettison him last year before the beginning of the season.

Don’t this is s fair take. Kyler is saying and doing all the things that he needs to do his comment about accountability is accurate. Also, your comment about the Cardinals, being a sinking ship is very misleading. They are in complete reset mode.

I fully agree with JMac here. Unfortunately he ruined it with a long monologue where he kept patting himself on the back for being accountable lmao

Great job hosting the show on Friday Jason. Love your takes even when you’re wrong buddy…. ☺️
