Buffaloes women’s basketball team’s recruiting class ranked highly by ESPN

Head coach JR Payne is on track to bring in a top-25 recruiting class for the Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team. ESPN released its most recent team rankings on Nov. 9th, and Colorado came in at No. 22. Colorado’s class is headlined by two top-100 ESPN prospects in point guard Kennedy Sanders (75) and forward Ruthie Loomis-Goltl (78). Guards Jadyn Atchison and Saulele Tanuvasa are also on track to join the team.

Kennedy Sanders is a four-star PG out of Chaska, Minnesota that stands at 5-foot-8 and Ruthie Loomis-Goltl is a 6-foot-3 post player that hails from Bridgeport, Nebraska. Colorado’s basketball programs are bringing in some major talent, and with the women’s team making a run at the NCAA Tournament last season, bright days are ahead for the basketball fans in Boulder.

Here is what ESPN and Premier Basketball had to say about the Buffaloes recruiting class:

Highest-ranked commit: PG Kennedy Sanders (No. 75)
Previous ranking: unranked

JR Payne tapped into the Midwest for her two top recruits in the 2023 class. Sanders is a heady point guard who makes teammates better. No. 78 Ruthie Loomis-Goltl is a physical forward who brings a ton of energy and a nice pull-up jumper. Colorado will bolster the class with two three-star guard/wings in Jadyn Atchison and Saulele Tanuvasa.
