Bucs make no moves at the NFL trade deadline

4 p.m. EST Tuesday has hit, and there will be no more trades in the National Football League — and that includes for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Head coach Todd Bowles told media early that he and the team would be “listeners,” but it appears that the Bucs didn’t hear anything they like on Tuesday’s Halloween deadline. Because of Tampa Bay’s cap situation, the Bucs were far more likely to be sellers than buyers, but the team remains committed to the roster it has and will attempt to win the NFC South this year with the squad it brought in.

Wideout Mike Evans was a name floated at the beginning of the year after his contract dispute early in the offseason, but general manager Jason Licht assured the league that he wasn’t for sale earlier on Tuesday. Bucs linebacker Devin White also requested a trade earlier in the year, but he was able to work it out with management and later rescinded that request.

Tampa Bay will take on the Houston Texans — without any missing or added players — on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
