Bucks sign new deals with free agents, headlined by Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton

The Milwaukee Bucks accomplished their two biggest goals of the summer on Thursday.

Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez could sign their new deals with the team starting at 11:01 a.m. CT, and the team announced their return a few hours later.

The veterans had already agreed to terms after free agency opened last week.

The 31-year-old Middleton gets a three-year, $102 million deal, his third contract with the Bucks. He is coming off an injury-plagued season in which he played just 33 games. He had surgery on his right knee after Milwaukee was eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Brook Lopez, 35, returns with a two-year, $48 million contract after a brief flirtation with the Houston Rockets. Lopez had one of the best seasons of his career in 2022-23, leading the NBA in blocked shots and finishing as the runner-up for defensive player of the year.

The Bucks still had other work to do in free agency, especially after Joe Ingles (Orlando Magic) and Jevon Carter (Chicago Bulls) opted for bigger deals elsewhere.

Malik Beasley

The 26-year-old is a new face off the bench on a one-year contract for the veteran minimum. He is a career 37.8% three-point shooter, but he fell out of the Los Angeles Lakers' rotation at the end of last season.
