Brynn Roehrich, Lane Tvedt and Logan Vavruska win individual championships in tourney

WATERTOWN — Medalists Brynn Roehrich of Clark-Willow Lake and Lane Tvedt of Castlewood carried their teams to Pre-Region 1B titles in the combined Pre-Region 1B/Eastern Coteau Conference golf tournament on Monday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course.

The tourney was a tune-up for the Region 1B set for Monday, again at CCGC.

Roehrich shot a 6-over par 76 to win the girls division by five shots. Tvedt fired a 2-under 70 to win the boys division by three shots.

Clark-Willow Lake edged Webster Area 282-291 for the girls division team championship and Castlewood won the boys division by a 230-235 margin over Webster Area.

Roehrich (girls) and Logan Vavruska of Florence-Henry (73) were meddalists in the ECC. Webster Area's boys and Clark-Willow Lake's girls were ECC team champions.

NEC Class A Girls

FRANKFORT — Medalist Claire Crawford sparked Aberdeen Roncalli to the championship in the Class A Girls Northeast Conference golf tournament on Monday the Fisher Grove Country Club.

Crawford shot an 80 and won the tourney by 14 shots.

Sioux Valley Invite

VOLGA — Caitlyn Cradduck of Sioux Valley won the girls division and Tom Aughenbaugh of De Smet and Blake Benson of Garretson tied for medalist honors in the boys division during the Sioux Valley Golf Invitational on Monday the Meadowcreek Golf Course.

Cradduck shot a 78 and won by 12 shots. Aughenbaugh and Benson each carded 83s in the boys division.
