Brook Hill girl's soccer team goes 1-0-1 in Bullard JV tourney

Jan. 22—BULLARD — The Lady Guard of Brook Hill took a break from conference play to compete in the Bullard Junior Varsity Tournament late last week.

The Lady Guard, who are 10-3-1 overall and 3-0 in league play, played the Bullard JV to a 1-1 draw and defeated Whitehouse's JV squad, 3-0.

In the match against Bullard, Rylie-Jane McCord scored Brook Hill's lone goal off of an assist by Hadley Clark.

Lady Guard goalkeeper Ifedayo Abegunde made one save.

Scarlett Kerr collected a pair of goals in Brook Hill's victory over Whitehouse.

Scoring the Lady Guard's remaining goal was Anastasia Kanaykina.

Clark tallied two assists and Amarachi Opara had one.

Brook Hill returns to district play at 5 p.m. Monday be entertaining Lakehill Prep.

A match between the schools' boys team will follow at 7 p.m.
