Josh Manson fined for throat-slash gesture to Nazem Kadri (Video)
Anaheim Ducks defenseman Josh Manson was fined $2,486.56 by the NHL for a throat-slash gesture towards Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri in their Thursday night game.
Late in the third period, Kardri boarded Manson and received a two-minute minor. After the play had stopped the clearly agitated Manson gave Kadri a throat-slash gesture and was given a game misconduct. The Ducks lost 6-5 in overtime, but clinched a playoff spot.

The NHL does not take kindly to “inappropriate” gestures. Kadri was fined $5,000 for a throat-slash gesture towards Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano in February.
In 2010, the league suspended then-Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Nick Boynton one game for a throat-slash gesture toward Blair Jones of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Also in 2010, James Wisniewski, then of the New York Islanders, received a two-game suspension for an obscene gesture towards New York Rangers forward Sean Avery.
