MINTY BETS: It's week eight of the college football season. I'm Minty Bets joined by Pam Maldonado, and she is here to give you her favorite bet on the board. Pam, what do you have for us this week?

PAMELA MALDONADO: My favorite bet of the week is a total. I'm looking to Colorado State at Utah State under 58 and a 1/2.

The Rams, they are top 20 for red-zone attempts, yet they are bottom 15 in offensive touchdown scored, lead the nation in field-goal attempts and field goals made.

Utah State, on the other hand, they average just 25 points per game, 80th in offensive touchdowns. And defensively, Colorado State, they are a stout defense to be going up against, limiting opponents to 15 points per game, fourth in total defense, and has held all opponents to 24 points or less.

And what stops drives? Quarterback sacks. And Colorado State is second-best pass rush in the country, generating 21 total sacks. A team that has more field goals than touchdowns-- is a great defensive game. I like this to go under 58 and 1/2.

MINTY BETS: Now onto the marquee game of the week, Clemson at Pitt. The Panthers are 3-point favorites, and the total is 48 and 1/2. What do you think about this one, Pam?

PAMELA MALDONADO: What do I think? This is one of the toughest games to handicap on the board. The last time the Tigers were road underdogs, Barack Obama was our president.

Up until now, Clemson has been double-digit favorites, and now you are a road dog? Very confusing game to handicap. However, I do lean to one of the best defenses, Clemson, in the country to keep this a low-scoring affair. I like the under, 48 and 1/2.

In five games played, the Panthers have played three teams ranked outside of the top 70 for total defense. They did beat Virginia Tech 28 to 7. The Hokies, they match up very similar to the Clemson Tigers, and Virginia Tech held Pitt to 28 points in that match-up. 7 points were scored from a turnover.

This match-up looks very similar to that. Clemson is the much better defense, top 20 in the nation. I like the under on 48 and 1/2.
