Bengals list Giovani Bernard as questionable on final injury report vs. Giants

Two of the Cincinnati Bengals’ biggest names — Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon — sit on injured reserve as the team preps to take on the New York Giants.

While we await word on Burrow’s surgery date and whether Mixon will play again at all this season, the rest of the roster has to get ready for that homestand.

Friday, the Bengals issued their final injury report:

• Markus Bailey (Questionable)

• Mackensie Alexander (Questionable)

• Giovani Bernard (Questionable)

• Mike Thomas (Doubtful)

Taking into account the guys not on reserve lists, the Bengals are pretty healthy. The lack of Bobby Hart listed could mean he’s good to go at right tackle this week.

At running back, Giovani Bernard was oddly listed with a concussion early in the week but appears ready to be the lead man.

With John Ross already sidelined and Auden Tate on the COVID-19 list, Thomas being unable to go could be a problem for the passing attack. Then again, Zac Taylor hasn’t named a starting quarterback, so Sunday could be run-heavy.
