Basketball games to benefit Crisis Center

Feb. 20—The OC Sports Center as the Odessa College women's and men's basketball teams clash tonight with the Midland College women's and men's teams to benefit the Crisis Center of West Texas.

The evening games will serve as a fundraiser and supply drive for the Crisis Center of West Texas, which provides a variety of services including shelter to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in West Texas.

The evening will also feature a special encore presentation of a few of the Crisis Center's Dancing with West Stars contestants.

All proceeds from ticket sales to the evening games will be donated to the Crisis Center, a news release said.

Bins at the front doors of the Sports Center will collect donations of supplies the Crisis Center needs. The greatest needs of donated supplies are shampoos, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners, underwear, sports bras of all sizes, phone chargers, duffle bags, and new, comfy clothing (loungewear, pajamas of all sizes).

Odessa College Women's team (13-8 overall, 6-4 conference) will play Midland College Women's (10-15 overall, 5-6 conference) at 5:45 p.m.

Odessa College Men's team (23-2 overall, 10-1 conference) will take on the Midland College Men's (21-5 overall, 7-5 conference) at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5, and free for OC students and staff.
