University of North Florida Junior Christin Eisenbeiss will play in her third NCAA tournament and for the second time as an individual.

Eisenbeiss, the co-ASUN player of the year and the top-ranked player in the conference received a berth in the NCAA championship Palm Beach Gardens regional May 8-10 at the PGA National Resort. Eisenbeiss finished second in the recent ASUN tournament, her fifth top-10 finish and ninth among the top-25, in 10 starts.

The native of Hamburg, Germany played in the NCAA in 2021 as an individual and qualified with her team last year when the Ospreys won the ASUN title. In the 2021 Louisville regional, she finished fourth to become the first UNF women's player in history to reach the NCAA Championship.

Other teams in the Palm Beach Gardens regional include LSU, Texas, UCF, Duke, Cal, Alabama, Arkansas and South Florida.

The NCAA men's selection show will be on Golf Channel May 3 at 1 p.m., where it's expected the UNF men's team will get an at-large bid. They finished second to Liberty on Wednesday in the ASUN tournament.

Walters to appear

World Golf Hall of Fame member Dennis Walters will perform an exhibition at Brentwood Golf Course on May 20 at 10 a.m., which will be free to the public.

Walters, who was paralyzed from the waist down after a 1974 golf cart accident when he was in college, has traveled the world performing more than 3,000 shows from a specialized cart, along with his dog Gussie. He most recently appeared in Jacksonville at the Billy Maxwell Memorial Tournament last year.

Brentwood is located at 1157 Golfair Blvd.

Area FSGA results

Therese Quinn tied for third in the Florida State Golf Association Women's Senior Amateur, at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Naples. She posed an 8-over 224 for 54 holes and finished four shots behind winner Terrill Samuel of Boynton Beach. Carolyn Creekmore of Ponte Vedra Beach (229) finished 11th and Tama Caldabaugh of Ponte Vedra (230) was 12th. Caldabaugh had a hole-in-one at No. 12 in the final round, using a 7-iron from 120 yards. ... Christine Hunt of Ponte Vedra shot 12-over 156 to finish fourth in the Super-Senior division. ... Andrew Morgan of Jacksonville, a Bolles senior, won the Florida Junior Tour Osprey Point Open in Boca Raton. He fired a bogey-free 64 in the first round, with six birdies and an eagle, and held on for a one-shot victory with a 72 in the second round.

The Jacksonville Area Golf Association two-day Four-Ball is May 6-7 at the St. Johns Golf Club. The event is open to all with gross and net divisions. ... The 66th JAGA Senior Championship 78-player field is nearly full. The tournament is May 21-23 at the Sawgrass Country Club, with an entry deadline of May 15. ... Entries for the 62nd Jacksonville Amateur July 20-22 at San Jose will open June 1. ... The JAGA Scholarship Trust banquet has been set for May 16 at Deerwood. ... Joe Grippi Duke Butler IV, Fred Seely and Moore-Myers Childrens Fund participant Larry Winter, Jr. won the third annual JAGA Kid-Am at Jacksonville Beach with a 61 on a net scramble. There were 42 teams composed of three JAGA directors and one member of the Moore-Myers Fund.
