Update on Bachelor Nation TikTok-Gate, a truly wild story in one million parts that took place this weekend. To catch everyone up real quick, former Bachelor Clayton Echard was publicly accused of cheating on his girlfriend Susie Evans by a TikToker named Sasha Narang, who posted a since-deleted video claiming she’d hooked up with Clayton in NYC.

Sasha proceeded to lay out a bunch of “evidence,” but it appears she was being entirely catfished by someone falsely claiming to be Clayton. Which, yikes. And in the wake of Clayton himself hopping on his Instagram Story with a ton of receipts—including his phone’s location on Friday night (a gym in Arizona), Susie entered the chat with proof of her own: the fact that she was FaceTiming with Clayton on and off throughout the night:

And on top of THAT, last night, Reality Steve also entered the chat, going live on Instagram to reveal he’d spoken to Sasha and seen images of the person she was with on Friday night who was, in fact, not Clayton. In other words, she’d been catfished and there appears to be some random Clayton lookalike in NYC.

Sasha has since issued a public apology to Clayton and Susie and also made it clear that the person she met lied to her. “This guy truly convinced me that he was Clayton,” she explained during her TikTok apology. “He, again, introduced me to himself as Clayton. He told me he was on The Bachelor, he knew his hometown, his birthday, knew all these super weird facts that it just obviously, in the moment, me not watching The Bachelor, knowing nothing about it, I believed him.” She added, “Super weird, someone impersonating him in New York City, so look out for that.”

Glad this was all figured out.
