Austin Reaves on his excellent play of late

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a definite slump right now. They have lost four games in a row and five of their last six, and they have fallen from fourth place to 10th place in the Western Conference in just two weeks.

With a 15-14 record, the team seems to be groping for something that will break it out of its rut, and its fans are starting to sound the alarm.

But one thing that has gone very right for the Lakers lately is the play of Austin Reaves. After a rough first few weeks of the season, Reaves is averaging 19.4 points in 28.4 minutes a game on 50.4% overall shooting and 42.1% 3-point shooting in December.

After Thursday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the guard said he’s feeling good these days, but he also said the main thing he wants is for his team to win games.

It looks like perhaps head coach Darvin Ham reassigning Reaves to the bench in early November was the right move.
