Here are the nominees for the State Journal-Register's athlete of the week poll.

The junior netted a school-record 45 points in an 81-49 South Central Conference victory over Vandalia on Thursday. had 24 points by halftime and netted 21 more in the second half. She finished making 21 field goals, including one 3-pointer, and added a double-double to her career night with 11 steals. The Miners improved to 16-6 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Ki'on Carson, Lincoln, boys basketball

The senior guard hit the go-ahead free throws and ended with 14 points in a wild 55-54 Central State Eight Conference victory over rival Lanphier at the new Lober-Nika Gymnasium on Friday.

Trevor Colwell, South County, boys basketball

The senior guard scored his 1,000th career-point and finished with a game-high 19 as the Vipers rolled to a 58-28 MSM Conference win over Mount Olive on Friday. Colwell buried three of his four 3-pointers in the first period and had 13 points in the quarter.

Isaac Crumrine, Riverton, boys basketball

The senior guard ushered a team-high 13 points in a 54-50 victory over Calvary to win the Sangamon County Tournament consolation title at Cass Gymnasium on Friday. Crumrine earned all-state honors in cross country and all-sectional laurels in boys soccer earlier this school year. The Hawks improved to 15-3 with the win.

Clayton Kessler, Auburn, boys basketball

The junior forward provided eight of his team-high 13 points in a 51-38 victory over New Berlin for the team's first Sangamon County Tournament title since 1986 on Friday.

Brayden Saling, Williamsville, boys basketball

The junior guard tied a Sangamon County Tournament record with seven 3-pointers in a 46-33 victory over Pawnee in the third-place game on Friday. He finished with a game-high 23 points and was named to the all-tournament team.

Tyler Surber, Pawnee, boys basketball

The senior forward totaled 19 points in a 48-42 quarterfinal upset over top-seeded Calvary and was tabbed to the all-tournament team. Pawnee, seeded ninth, earned fourth place in the Sangamon County Tournament while Tim Kratochvil was recognized posthumously with the Friend of the County award.
