Ashland track athlete Vivian Walter voted Ashland County Athlete of the Week

Ashland track athlete Vivian Walter was voted as Ashland County's Athlete of the Week for April 29-May 4.

The voting took place online from 10 a.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Walter compiled 39 percent of the vote (352 votes), while Loudonville softball player Alesha Felix finished second with 22.7 percent (205 votes) and Hillsdale softball player Belle Dalton placed third with 16.8 percent (152 votes).

Last Friday at the Kiwanis Invitational in Galion, Walter won the 100 hurdles (15.82) and finished second in the 300 hurdles (50.03).

The voting polls for next week's Athlete of the Week candidates will be open at 10 a.m. Monday.
