Alabama football players including Jalen Milroe spotted at Talladega for Geico 500 NASCAR race

TALLADEGA − A few Alabama football players made the hour-and-half trek up to experience the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.

The group was highlighted by starting quarterback Jalen Milroe and defensive leaders Malachi Moore and Deonte Lawson. The group seemed to be hosted by Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, with the group getting gear and hanging out with crew members for the two RFK teams ahead of the race.

Other Alabama football players who made the trip include long snapper Kneeland Hibbett, who looked to be rocking a shirt referencing "Talladega Nights" in a social media post by RFK racing. Other players in attendance include Kendrick Law, Emmanuel Henderson and defensive back Devonta Smith. The group was seen hanging around the pit boxes during the race taking pictures with fans.

Alabama football wrapped up spring practice with its annual A-Day scrimmage last Saturday, giving the players a little bit of extra time before exams start up in the next few weeks. It was the first spring practice for Kalen DeBoer who is in his first season coaching the Crimson Tide after the retirement of longtime coach Nick Saban.
