Iran vs Qatar Asian Cup semi-final match

Iran has made it to the semifinals of the Asian Cup by defeating Japan 2-1 in a quarterfinal matchup. However, the team has been vocal about its struggles with the format of the tournament and the lack of recovery time. Despite their victory over Japan, they only have two days to prepare for the semi-final match against hosts and defending champions Qatar.

Meanwhile, Qatar reached the semifinals after defeating Uzbekistan 1-1 (pens: 3-2) in extra time, which led to penalty kicks.

Iran will be hoping to make it to the final of the tournament for the first time since 1976 but first must get past Qatar in the Asian Cup semifinals at Al Thumama Stadium on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 10:00 a.m., ET.

The game will be available to stream on Paramount+.
