5-star QBs George MacIntyre, Jared Curtis headline Nashville area football top performers

Quarterbacks shined in Week 6 of the 2023 TSSAA season. From five-star quarterbacks George MacIntyre and Jared Curtis to JoJo Crump and Mitchell Carey, there were big performances from the Nashville area's top quarterbacks.

Here is our top performers as selected from Tennessean high school sports editor Tom Kreager.

George MacIntyre, Brentwood Academy: MacIntyre had his best game of the season. He was 28-of-39 passing for 293 yards with three TDs and didn't throw an interception in the Eagles' 31-24 loss to top-ranked Chattanooga Baylor. The Eagles have lost three straight.

C.J. Durrough, Columbia Academy: Durrough had three catches for 141 yards and two TDs in a 55-28 win over Ezell-Harding.

Connor Rosson, Columbia Academy: Rosson was 7-of-10 passing for 220 yards and three TDs

Mitchell Carey, DCA: Carey was 11-of-12 passing for 205 yards with four TDs in a 54-0 rout of Mt. Juliet Christian.

Martez Lamb, East Nashville: Lamb was 14-of-21 passing for 311 yards and a TD in a 42-21 loss to FRA for the Eagles' first loss of the 2023 season.

JoJo Crump, Father Ryan: Crump was 26-of-33 passing for 330 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-21 loss to Briarcrest Christian. It was the Irish's second straight loss.

Ty Clark III, FRA: Clark ran for 145 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries.

Bobby Council, FRA: Council had six catches for 167 yards and three touchdowns.

Logan Kinnard, FRA: Kinnard: was 11-of-19 passing for 247 yards and three TDs and rushed for 33 yards.

Kyle Davidson, Grace Christian: Davidson was 17-of-30 passing for 174 yards with a TD and an interception. Davidson also ran for 230 yards and two TDs off 24 carries in a 39-36 loss to Nashville Christian.

Brian Rager, Liberty Creek: Rager was 17-of-21 passing for 257 yards and ran for 134 yards on 14 carries. He finished with three total TDs, including three rushing. Liberty Creek defeated Westmoreland 42-14.

Corben Reynolds, Loretto: Reynolds caught three passes for 118 yards and had two TDs in a 37-14 win over Hickman County to improve to 6-0.

Mason Tidwell, Loretto: Tidwell was 8-of-15 passing for 284 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 65 yards on just five carries.

Jack Welch, Loretto: Welch caught three passes for 114 yards with two receptions going for TDs.

Silas Teat, Marshall County: Teat was 11-of-13 passing for 206 yards with three TDs in the Tigers' 41-6 rout of Fayetteville.

Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian: Curtis had his best game of the 2023 TSSAA season. The No. 2 quarterback in the country for the Class of 2026 was 15-of-28 passing for 335 yards and five TDs. Nashville Christian beat GCA 39-36.

Bryson Holt, Nashville Christian: Holt had four catches for 136 yards and two TDs.

Daune Morris, Oakland: Morris had 13 carries for 183 yards with three TDs in a 35-0 shutout of Rockvale to impove to 5-1.

Braden Graham, Riverdale: Graham was 21-of-26 passing for 262 yards and five TDs, including two to Connecticut commit Brock Montgomery.

Adin Augustine, Smyrna: Augustine returned two interceptions for touchdowns in a 34-0 shutout of McGavock to improve to 2-0 in Region 5-6A play.

Clarence Cobbins, Springfield: Cobbins finished with three total TDs. He had 73 receiving yards with two touchdowns and five carries for 29 yards and a TD in Springfield's 35-0 win over Portland.

Justyce Law, Stratford: Law was 13-of-25 passing for 275 yards with four TDs and ran for 101 yards on just nine carries in a 53-14 win over RePublic.

Marqui Mitchell, Stratford: Mitchell had four catches for 121 yards and a TD.

Mason McElhaney, Summit: McElhaney ran for 270 yards with two TDs on 34 carries and was 3-of-9 passing for 25 yards in a 13-7 win over Franklin.

Tripp Pinion, White County: Pinion ran 35 times for 195 yards and had two TDs in a 41-28 win over Macon County. He was also 1-of-8 passing for 26 yards.
