After Friday night, Texas catcher Rylan Galvan may need to permanently switch jersey numbers.

Galvan went 5-for-6 with five RBIs to lead Texas to a 21-11 victory at No. 23 Kansas State. In the road win, Galvan was wearing a No. 52 jersey because his No. 6 jersey had been lost.

The 10-run triumph by the Longhorns evened the Big 12 series between Kansas State (18-7, 6-2) and Texas (16-11; 5-3). Kansas State recorded a 14-6 victory in Thursday's series opener.

Texas built an 8-3 lead after the fifth inning on Friday and the Longhorns were leading 11-18 after the top of the seventh session. Kansas State rallied to tie the game both times.

But in the eighth inning, Texas broke the 11-11 tie on a Jalin Flores RBI single and Max Belyeu added a two-run homer. Texas then plated seven runs on six hits in the ninth inning.

Texas finished the game with 22 hits, four of which were home runs. Like Galvan, Belyeu also drove in five runs.

Texas and Kansas State will close out their weekend at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Texas sophomore Max Grubbs (3-0, 2.28 ERA) and Kansas State's Owen Boerma (2-1, 6.12) are the expected starting pitchers for this series finale.
