The 2024 PGA Championship started with 156 golfers on Thursday but has dwindled to 78 as the official cuts were made on Saturday morning after the late completion of Round 2 (following a suspension of play on Friday and, briefly, Saturday).

After 36 holes, the major tournament at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville cut half of the field for the final two rounds of the contest. Those in contention for the title, such as Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and even defending champion Brooks Koepka, didn't have to worry about missing the cut after astounding starts to the tournament in the opening round.

Legendary golfers like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson failed to make the cut, however, while the world's No. 4-ranked golfer, Wyndham Clark, also failed to qualify for the final 36 holes, among others.

What is the PGA Championship's projected cut line?

Round 2 of the PGA Championship was suspended at 8:41 p.m. ET on Friday due to darkness. The remainder of the second round resumed at 7:15 a.m. ET on Saturday. Play was briefly paused Saturday morning due to fog but resumed at 9:37 a.m.

The official cut line for the 2024 PGA Championship was set at 1-under, a score held by 78 golfers.
