Vikings defense comes up big in win vs. Rams

The Vikings defense held the Rams without a touchdown Sunday in a blowout 34-6 win on the road in Week 1.

The defense racked up five sacks against the overmatched Rams line and secured two interceptions, with Harrison Smith returning one of the picks 81 yards for a touchdown. The defense could have had an even bigger day, but they were unable to recover any of the Rams' four fumbles. The Vikings figure to have a much tougher test defensively in Week 2 when the Patriots come to town.
