UFC Boston Fighter Bonuses: Conor McGregor Earns an Extra $50K for Finishing Dennis Siver

The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced the performance-based fighter bonuses stemming from UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver following Sunday’s event at the TD Garden in Boston. Conor McGregor, Lorenz Larkin, Sean O’Connell and Matt Van Buren received the $50,000 incentives.

Fight of the Night honors went to preliminary fighters Sean O’Connell and Matt Van Buran for their slugfest that aired on UFC Fight Pass. Van Buren had O’Connell in trouble in the opening round with knees and right hands landing regularly.

O’Connell rebounded in the second frame and staggered The Ultimate Fighter 19 runner-up with a right hand. He was able to put Van Buren away in the final round after scoring a knockdown follow-up strikes.

Main event fighter Conor McGregor was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus for his second-round finish of No. 10 ranked featherweight Dennis Siver. McGregor’s speed and punching accuracy proved too much for Siver. The Irishman landed straight left hands often. After battering the German in the opening frame, McGregor finished in the second round with punches.
