Trey Burke scores 28, Jazz beat Timberwolves

The Utah Jazz were on fire, finishing 38-75 (50.7%) from the field, including 11-20 (55.0%) from beyond the arc, to defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 101-89. Utah (12-22) picked up the win after falling to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.

Trey Burke had a strong performance, scoring 28 points on 10-16 shooting from the field (4-6 from behind the arc) and 4-6 from the free throw line. Other key players for Utah included Derrick Favors with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Rudy Gobert with 13 points and 11 rebounds. On 8-16 shooting, including 3-5 from behind the arc, Mo Williams put up 20 points off the bench for Minnesota in the loss.

Along with their eFG% of 58.0%, the Jazz connected at a rate of 55.0% from 3-point range. On the season, they are undefeated (3-0) when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Timberwolves are 1-8 when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.

Minnesota (5-27) has now lost 11 straight.
