A University of Kansas investigation found that a former football player expelled from the university had “non-consensual sex” with a former rower at the university.

Two former rowers have accused the same football player of sexual assault. The player, identified last week by the Kansas City Star as former long snapper Jordan Goldenberg, transferred to Indiana State after he was expelled from the school. Goldenberg was removed from the ISU roster last week.

According to a report obtained by the Star, KU found that Goldenberg had “non-consensual sex” with a former rower while he violated the school’s sexual harassment policy against another rower. Both rowers have filed Title IX suits vs. the university alleging indifference towards their claims. From the Star:

In addition to a finding that Goldenberg had “engaged in non-consensual sex” with Tackett, IOA found that “preponderance of the evidence” supported that Goldenberg violated KU’s sexual harassment policy and should be permanently expelled because it was his second sex-related offense, according to the letters.

The letter to McClure, which referenced the sexual harassment finding, states IOA would have made different recommendations for one offense — recommending Goldenberg “be placed on disciplinary probation, attend educational sessions around sexual harassment and consent, and that he be banned from Jayhawker Towers.” McClure and Tackett say they were each sexually assaulted in the towers, which are part of KU student housing.

Goldenberg transferred to ISU after his former KU position coach was hired at Indiana State. The school said he was removed from the roster last week after it found out new information about him. The Star reports a letter about the results of the case was sent to Tackett in March, approximately five months ago.

Goldenberg’s attorney has denied the allegations made against his client, who is still a student at ISU and has not been charged with a crime. He also contends Goldenberg withdrew from the university instead of being expelled.
