The player two former Kansas rowers accused of sexual assault reportedly transferred to Indiana State to continue his football career.

According to the Kansas City Star, someone familiar with one of the allegations identified the player as long snapper Jordan Goldenberg. He transferred to the FCS school but was taken off the school’s roster this week. Here’s what Indiana State said in a statement to the Star.

“Jordan Goldenberg Jr. has been removed from the Indiana State University football team, effective Aug. 25. The upper administration of the athletics department and football team recently learned more information about Goldenberg and after a review, decided it was best for him to focus on obtaining his degree.”

“Steps have been taken to ensure this situation is not repeated. Because of privacy limitations, the University will not release further details.”

Goldenberg did not play in the Jayhawks’ final five games of 2015. According to the Star, former KU special teams coordinator Gary Hyman was hired by Indiana State earlier this year.

Lawyers for Goldenberg denied the allegations. Both Sarah McClure and Daisy Tackett say that a former football player, identified in lawsuits as John Doe G., sexually assaulted them in the same KU housing complex.

Kansas asked in May for Tackett’s lawsuit against it to be thrown out. She filed suit in March, alleging that KU was indifferent to her accusations. Tackett’s lawsuit was amended in August to say that Kansas expected women’s rowers to be in attendance at football games and she had previously stated in her suit that she was barred from traveling with the team after she reported her assault.

McClure filed a Title IX suit against the school in April. Her lawsuit said her assailant had been expelled from KU in March. McClure’s father told the Star this week that it was “horrific” her accused assailant got to transfer to another school to continue his playing career.
