Packers place Jolly, Bostick on IR

The Green Bay Packers placed defensive end Johnny Jolly and tight end Brandon Bostick on season-ending injured reserve.

Jolly (shoulder/neck) was declared out by the team Thursday for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Jolly suffered "a significant injury." Jolly dropped out of the 37-36 win at Dallas in the first quarter last Sunday. However, there's speculation the veteran starter sustained a neck injury the previous week in the victory over Atlanta.

Jolly finishes the season with 38 tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed while starting eight of 13 games he appeared in.

McCarthy announced on Friday that Bostick would undergo season-ending foot surgery. He appeared in 11 games, catching seven passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Bostick also recorded seven special teams tackles.
