Packers let go of Vince Young

A week ago, Vince Young looked to have made the Green Bay Packers' roster as a No. 2 quarterback, when the team released Graham Harrell.

Young had a strong performance in the Packers' third preseason game, but followed that up with a poor performance in the preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, the Packers, barring a waiver claim, will go with B.J. Coleman as Aaron Rodgers' lone backup.

Young tweeted out the news of his release this morning.
