Nick Hardwick coming back for another season

After weighing his options, San Diego Chargers center Nick Hardwick has decided to play one more NFL season, according to a report from the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Hardwick let the franchise know his intentions and told the newspaper he's excited about coming back for a final season.

I wanted to take a month off where I didn't have to think about football," Hardwick said. "I just wanted to be honest with where my body is, where my brain is, where we're at and where we want to go. Just give an honest assessment. My body feels great. My brain feels great. I do think there's better football ahead of me."

Hardwick has spent his entire NFL career with the Chargers. He was selected by the organization in the third round of the 2004 draft.
