NFL roundup: Kolb wants Super Bowl with Bills
NFL teams continue to sign players, hoping to add the right pieces, and quarterback Kevin Kolb apparently believes the Buffalo Bills have added the missing ingredient by signing him.
Although the Bills have missed the postseason 13 consecutive years, Kolb said during a press conference to officially announce his signing on Monday, "I'm here to win the Super Bowl. Period."
The two sides agreed to the deal on Saturday. It is a two-year contract worth up to $13 million, according to multiple reports.
Kolb's main competition for the starting job is Tavaris Jackson. Kolb's record as a starter is 9-12.
--- Members of the Unitas family are feuding over the decision to cast Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco as Johnny Unitas in part of a movie about the legendary Colts quarterback.
The movie, "Unitas We Stand," is being co-produced by Joe Unitas, one of the late quarterback's sons. However, his oldest son, John Unitas Jr., and grandson, J.C. Unitas, criticized the casting of Flacco.
John Unitas Jr. told USA Today on Sunday that Flacco is a "goofball" and is considering legal action if Joe Unitas profits from their father's name.
---Quarterback Dan Orlovsky has re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers less than a week after the team released him, according to the Tampa Tribune.
The eight-year veteran signed a two-year, $2.5 million contract last offseason, and the team didn't announce a reason for his release last week.
