Lightning trade for F Jacques

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired forward Jean-Francois Jacques from the Florida Panthers for future considerations, the Lightning announced Monday.

Jacques, 27, scored five goals, and two assists and 37 penalty minutes in 24 games this season with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. The left winger tied for first on the Rampage with three power play goals.

He has played in 166 career NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers and Anaheim Ducks with nine goals and eight assists with 197 penalty minutes. Jacques played six games with the Ducks and had 12 penalty minutes last season.

Jacques was drafted by the Oilers in the second round (No. 68 overall) in 2003.
