Knicks' Anthony plans to play Monday
New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony still does not know what's wrong with his injured right knee, but he plans to play in Monday's game against the Golden State Warriors after missing the past three games, multiple media outlets reported.
He said Monday morning that the Knicks medical staff has been unable to pinpoint the source of his discomfort, but he does not expect to need offseason surgery, the New York Daily News reported.
"Nobody can really give me an exact answer on it," Anthony said, according to the Daily News. "There's no pain, no ligament damage or anything like that. There's just some fluid in the back of the knee that's preventing me from hyper-extending my knee sometimes."
He said something else that grabbed reporters' attention.
"I don't think I'll ever be 100 percent," he said.
Anthony said he hasn't been fully healthy since he suffered a knee injury during a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.
