Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Share a Very Sad Modeling Campaign

You know that old saying, the couple who Kimyes together, stays together? It continues to be as true today as it was in days of yore. A joint modeling campaign for Balmain is the most recent entry in the historical “Kim and Kanye Take High Fashion” canon (and no, you’re not imagining things, it’s only been 24 hours since the last update to that log).

Though Kanye West expressed his deep appreciation for his naked wife’s form in yesterday’s Harper’s Bazaar cover, she appears completely covered in her Balmain ads, which may explain why he looks so sad:

Kim Kardashian also appears distraught, with one glistening, mascara-soaked tear gleaming on her cheek. Perhaps she was considering her feud with Taylor Swift, and how she “used to be such a fan.”

Both stars’ outfits may look familiar — after all, they’re the same ones (heavily armored dress for Kim, distressed jeans and embellished jacket for Kanye) they wore to the Met Gala in May. Perhaps that’s what’s causing them such anxiety in the Steven Klein-shot campaign: They hate to be seen in the same clothes twice.

The couple are joined by other Balmain Army stalwarts, including Jourdan Dunn and Alessandra Ambrosio. But the Wests steal the show, so we have a feeling that they’re smiling now.
