Johnny Manziel signs with Nike
Johnny Football is officially a Nike man.
The Texas A&M quarterback and top NFL draft prospect has signed on with Nike for a multi-year marketing and shoe contract with Nike, according to his agent, Erik Burkhardt.
Maverick Carter, Lebron James' business manager, helped broker the deal.
Manziel chose Nike over competing offers from Under Armour, New Balance and Adidas.
Manziel won the Heisman Trophy in 2012 and is regarded as having the most star power of any draft prospect.
