Indians call up Martinez, send down Langwell

The Cleveland Indians called up right-handed pitcher Joe Martinez from Class AAA Columbus and optioned right-hander Matt Langwell to Columbus, the club announced Saturday.

Martinez, 30, is 2-6 with a 6.23 ERA in 15 starts. He played for the San Francisco Giants (2009-10), Pittsburgh Pirates (2010) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2012).

Langwell, 27, made five appearances for the Indians. For Columbus, he is 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA with one save in 24 games.
