Heat F James a game-time decision

Miami Heat forward LeBron James is a game-time decision for Monday night's game at the Denver Nuggets.

James, who turned 29 on Monday, participated in the team's morning shootaround on a limited basis.

James strained his right groin in Friday's overtime loss at the Sacramento Kings. He missed Saturday's win over the host Portland Trail Blazers.

Michael Beasley started in place of James, who was out for the first time this season.

James is receiving therapy for the injury. The Heat will decide James' playing status after he tests out the groin before the game.

"It has to be a collective discussion," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "But our guys are so competitive that we also sometimes have to take the decisions out of their hands. We try to do what we feel is best, big picture, but now take the player's opinion into consideration."

Forward Ray Allen (knees) and centers Chris Andersen (back) and Greg Oden (knee) are also questionable.
