Exonerated LB Banks has Chargers tyrout

Linebacker Brian Banks continues to draw interest from NFL teams and is scheduled to work out with the Chargers on Friday.

Banks was a five-star linebacker signed to attend Southern Cal, but he never made it to USC because of a rape conviction that wrongfully put him behind bars for five years.

Banks was exonerated May 24, when the accuser, who'd contacted Banks to confess guilt from the lie had overcome her, was recorded admitted she hadn't been truthful.

The Chiefs, Dolphins and Seahawks have also invited Banks to workouts. He's expected to attend Seattle's minicamp. Banks was recruited to USC by current Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.
