New Eagles safety Chris Maragos' deal worth up to $5.3 million
The Philadelphia Eagles are signing free agent safety Chris Maragos to a three-year, $4 million contract that includes a $1 million signing bonus, according to a league source.
That is the base value of the deal, but Maragos can make as much as $5.3 million if he triggers playtime and Pro Bowl escalator clauses.
Competing with the Washington Redskins for Maragos, the Eagles have added an aggressive 5-foot-10, 200-pound former Wisconsin standout.
Maragos played in every game the past two seasons for the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
He has 12 tackles last season. For his career, Maragos has 37 tackles.
