Dustin Pague Fights for Roster Spot, Welcomes Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC 166

A bantamweight bout between Dustin Pague and Kyoji Horiguchi has been added to the UFC 166 line-up for Oct. 19 in Houston.

UFC officials announced the bout on Friday.

Pague (11-8) is likely fighting for his roster spot. He has lost his three most recent bouts and four of his five under the UFC banner.

Pague enters this fight having lost a split decision to Yves Jabouin at UFC 161 in June.

By contrast, Horiguchi (11-1) enters the bout on a five-fight winning streak. This is his UFC debut and has fought the entirety of his career thus far in Japan.

He is the Shooto 132-pound champion, having won the belt earlier this year and defended it once before signing with the UFC.

The third bout of the trilogy between current UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Junior dos Santos headlines the UFC 166 fight card at the Toyota Center in Houston.
