Disney Unveils New 'Star Wars' Attractions for Ultimate Fans

Ahead of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting theaters December 16, Disneys Hollywood Studiosin Orlando, Florida, has announced several new Star Wars experiences for visitors coming later this month, some of which are inspired by the upcoming film.

Visitors who head to the Star Wars Launch Bay, where you can see movie props, engage in themed games, catch videos from the series, and greet characters from the films, will find updated replicas from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and new making-of footage from the film.

Guests can also get a sneak peek at the AWR troopers featured in the movie, which will join the studios daytime show, Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, in their Stormtrooper gear for daily performances starting December 16.

There will also be a Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks display, the most elaborate fireworks display in the parks history.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D simulated space flight will now include randomized tracks to start and end at various locations throughout your journey, with new scenes from Star Wars: Episode VIII arriving to the attraction next year.

Disneys Hollywood Studios will also be introducing a new Star Wars tour that takes visitors through a seven-hour journey across the parks many galactic experiences. The tour includes an inside look at Star Wars Launch Bay, a screening of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, goodies based off of the films at the Backlot Express, a reserved spot at the fireworks display, and participation in the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party, where youll get themed desserts and drinks from the films.

The company said it will begin opening reservations for January tours soon.
